Projects

The Namibia Meteorological Service undertakes a range of projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening the country's weather and climate services, in line with its mandate to promote the application of meteorology to aviation, maritime operations, water resources, agriculture, health, energy, tourism, environment and other sectors of the national economy. These initiatives support the acquisition and preservation of Namibia's national climate data for present and future generations, and aim to provide quality weather and climate services to all sectors of the Namibian economy whose operations are sensitive to and depend on climate, helping the country build resilience to climate variability while maximizing resource utilization for the benefit of the Namibian people and the wider international community
